Citrus County Animal Services (CCAS) and Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection (CCFAP) join forces each year to deliver recently adopted dogs and cats to their new homes on Christmas morning. This year, Santa will join the team of elves, making the Christmas deliveries even more special.

“It is such a rewarding experience to surprise and delight children on Christmas morning. We are helping to build precious memories and lifetime bonds between families and their pets. This is an event that will not be forgotten and adds an extra special touch to the holiday,” said Wanda Moak, president of CCFAP. “We have done these Christmas deliveries since 2015 and all have been successful adoptions. We are happy to partner with Citrus County Animal Services for this annual program that acknowledges pets as family members and honors the love between them and their humans.”

Potential adopters are welcome to visit CCAS (located at 4030 S Airport Road, Inverness, FL 34450) between Saturday, December 18, 2021, through Thursday, December 23, 2021, to pick out a new family member. Any cat or dog adopted can be held for special delivery. Make special memories for your family this Christmas by having Santa and his elves deliver a new family member to your door.
