The Citrus Master Gardeners really “bloomed” during their Annual Plant Sale, which was held on Saturday, October 16, 2021.

Citrus Master Gardeners Bloom During Annual Plant Sale

Propagating and raising plants from their own gardens, Master Gardeners produced over 2,400 Florida Friendly plants, including trees, perennials, succulents, and edibles.  Member-volunteers shared great gardening advice with the more than 200 sale visitors. Questions ranged from weird weeds, to pest management, to what will grow under certain conditions in their landscapes.

Master Gardeners host a plant sale each fall on the third Saturday in October. If you missed this year’s sale, drop by the Citrus County Extension office (located at 3650 W. Sovereign Path, Lecanto) where Master Gardeners host a plant clinic each weekday. The Master Gardeners also offer programs at each of the county’s libraries on a regular basis. For more information, call BJ Jarvis at (352) 527-5700.
