Courthouse Live brings Jake and the Shakedown to Brooksville Aug. 13

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on August 10, 2021

Courthouse Live is the place to be every Friday, with the exception of the 2021 Friday Night Live dates (September 10 and October 8) when the festivities shift to Hernando Park. It’s Brooksville Main Street’s way of keeping the music playing in historic downtown Brooksville all year long.

Special thanks to T-Mobile who have partnered with us, along with Lowman Law Firm, to help sponsor our Courthouse Live event!

Friday, August 13, Brooksville Main Street welcomes Jake and The Shakedown! Their music comes from a blend of musical generations. Performances focus on classic and southern rock with influences from musicians such as ZZ TOP, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Tom Petty, Queen, Bad Company, Bryan Adams, Hendrix, and Marshall Tucker.

Check them out on their Facebook page: Jake Dausch and the Shakedown

Take an early trip downtown to explore the Florida Mermaid Trail, visit some of Brooksville’s one-of-a-kind shops, and grab a meal to go at one of the downtown restaurants. Bring a chair from home, or you can even dine under the beautiful oaks at the newly placed picnic tables at our historic courthouse. There will also be some sweet and savory treats to add to the local flair each week!

The music plays from 7-9 pm at 20 N. Main Street in Brooksville. Admission is free.
