Florida Manatee Festival Postponed

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on December 29, 2020

After continued meetings with City and County (Health) Officials, as a condition of the permit to conduct the festival within the parameters in consideration of Covid 19 guidelines/protocol, the 2021 Florida Manatee Festival has been postponed to March 27-28, 2021.

The Festival team was hoping for significant improvement in Citrus County infection numbers and hospitalization cases. This has not occurred.

Florida Manatee Festival Postponed to March 27-28, 2121

Following two weeks of consultation with the Florida Department of Health, City of Crystal River and the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, the benchmarks we agreed upon regarding case numbers, infection rate, and hospitalizations cannot be met.

Therefore, in the interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the Festival’s vendors, visitors, and residents, the decision has been made to postpone the festival until March 27th-28th, 2021.

While the Florida Manatee Festival team is disappointed to have to make this call, they look forward to producing a larger, less restrictive event during the last weekend in March.

On behalf of the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce, and the Florida Manatee Festival team, thank you for your understanding.
