Hernando Audubon Virtual Meeting: Thursday, November 18, 7 p.m. Our Favorite Birds. Members will show photos of their favorite birds that they saw this year. Hernando Audubon Birding and Biking on the Withlacoochee Trail, Saturday, November 6: Meet at 8 a.m. at Lake Townsen Preserve Park, 28011 Lake Lindsey Road, Brooksville. We will bike about 6 miles north before returning. This beautiful section passes through forests and fields, where we will stop periodically to look for birds. Hernando Audubon Birding Trip to Fort Cooper State Park, Saturday, November 13. The park is at 3100 South Old Floral City Road in Inverness. Meet at 8 a.m. at parking lot #2. Hernando Audubon Birding Trip to Ahhochee Hill Sanctuary, Saturday, November 20, 8 a.m. Florida Audubon’s Ahhochee Hill Sanctuary is located at 24268 Lake Lindsey Road, Brooksville. The 270 acres of protected wildlife habitat is surrounded by other publicly protected land. Recently a Longleaf Pine Habitat Restoration project began on 140 acres. Hernando Audubon Beginning Birding, Friday, November 26. Meet at 8 a.m. at Chinsegut Conservation Center, 23212 Lake Lindsey Road, Brooksville.
