Museum Presents Free Children’s Programs in February

The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum presents free “Kids’ Corner and Crafternoons” events for children on the first and third Saturdays of each month.

Museum Presents Free Children’s Programs in February

The event on February 4, 2023, will feature the artists of artOasis as special guest hosts. Families who visit may want to plan for extra time to see the local artist group’s exhibit, “Glimpsing Paradise: Visual Art Inspired by Visionary Poems,” on display through Thursday, March 16. Kids between the ages of 5 and 14 are welcome to come and follow along to learn how to create their own stencils and develop valentine gifts and keepsakes.

This two-hour program will begin at 10:00am.

On February 18, the museum will host another Free Family Board Game Day in the historic courtroom
from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Available games include chess, checkers, Citrusopoly, Ticket to Ride, and
Timeline.
Parents and guardians should pre-register for these events by calling the museum. Children must be
supervised by their accompanying adults during the entirety of each of these programs.

The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum is the historic courthouse building with the clock tower, located
on the square in Downtown Inverness. The address is 1 Courthouse Square Inverness, FL 34450. Museum
hours are Tuesday through Saturday between 10:00am and 4:00pm, closed Sunday and Monday.
