Never Lose Track of Your Furry Friends: Free Microchipping

It’s a doggone good event for man’s best friend!  Pasco County Animal Services (PCAS) is partnering with Subaru of Port Richey and Hits 106 for free microchipping Saturday, June 19, 2021, in a special drive-thru event open to all Pasco County residents.  Please note, pre-registration is required beginning June 12.

WHAT:          Free Microchipping for dogs
                     A cat-only event is planned for later date

WHEN:          Saturday, June 19, 2021
                     10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

WHERE:       Lokey Subaru of Port Richey
                    11613 U.S. Highway 19
                    Port Richey, FL

You must pre-register online beginning Saturday, June 12, with a limit of three dogs per vehicle.  The registration link will GO LIVE June 12 at 10 a.m.

“We have already reached hundreds of pet owners throughout the county with our free microchipping clinics,” said Pasco Animal Services Director Mike Shumate.  “We’re thrilled to have the support of Hits 106 and Subaru of Port Richey for this event.”

Dog owners can stay in their vehicles when they arrive.  Dogs must be leashed.  Staff and volunteers will walk them to the microchipping station.  Free hot dogs, pet gift bags and photo opportunities will be available.  Pet food donations will also be accepted.
