Florida’s Adventure Coast Visitors Bureau’s mission is to identify, create, support, and enhance activities consistent with community assets that increase visitation and provide local economic impact. Funded by the TDT, also known as “bed tax” revenue on short-term rentals within Hernando County. The Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation
The Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation works to combine conservation science with compelling imagery and rich storytelling to heighten the visibility of the Florida Wildlife Corridor and inspire its protection. The Florida Wildlife Corridor Expeditions result in documentaries, books, videos, and vivid photographic presentations that introduce these natural areas to Florida residents and visitors of all ages.

Chinsegut Hill Historic Site
Located atop one of the highest points in Florida, Chinsegut Hill is home to a historic house situated in a 114-acre preserve. From prehistoric people to pioneer settlers, from an agrarian plantation to the emancipation of enslaved people, Chinsegut Hill has witnessed thousands of years of Florida’s history. Explore the diverse stories of Florida’s past in one unique location: Chinsegut Hill Historic Site. Tours Saturday & Sunday 9-5.
Heartwood Preserve Conservation Cemetery and Nature Preserve
Nestled in the southwest corner of the Nature Coast area, Heartwood Preserve honors and protects the wonder of nature while memorializing the lives of those we hold dear. Heartwood Preserve is a place where end-of-life decisions are made in harmony with nature, where all of life’s passages are honored and celebrated, and the natural ecology of a beautiful and unique habitat is protected. In keeping with this mission, we provide burial options for green burial and the burial of cremated remains.
