Pasco County Announces ‘Star’ Employees of the Year

Pasco County Government is pleased to announce the 2020 Star Team of the Year, Star Performer of the Year and Star Leader of the Year!  These awards recognize the most outstanding staff contributors based on specific criteria for job performance, devotion to duty and cooperation observed throughout the year.  Pasco County team members submit detailed nominations by department and branch, and the county’s leadership team determines the overall winners.

The Pasco County 2020 Star Team of the Year is the Pasco Community CARES team.  This group of more than 80 team members, spanning multiple departments and agencies, worked together for months, distributing over $7.9 million in CARES Act funding to community members who experienced economic hardship directly due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Todd Curci, technical support manager with the Information Technology Department, is Pasco County’s 2020 Star Performer of the Year.  As Pasco County transitioned to a remote work model during the pandemic, Todd took on the challenge of implementing all the necessary online collaboration and meeting tools, tirelessly providing support and training across the organization.

Media Relations & Communications Manager Tambrey Laine is Pasco County’s 2020 Star Leader of the Year.  Through her leadership and expertise, Tambrey has built a focused, results-driven team from the ground up, with exceptional performance during challenges like the pandemic.  Under Tambrey’s leadership, Pasco Media Relations & Communications has quickly become one of the most widely trusted, effective and efficient communications resources in the Tampa Bay area.

“Now more than ever Pasco County is attracting, growing and supporting a workforce of servant leaders, dedicated to improving lives; contributing to a purpose larger than their individual job; and performing at the highest possible level day in and day out,” said Dr. Marc Bellas, who developed Pasco’s Employee Recognition Program.  “In 2020, our biggest challenge brought out the very best in our team!”

The Pasco Board of County Commissioners formally recognized the winners with a resolution during the January 26, 2021, board meeting.  Pasco is proud of these top performers and congratulates them all on their accomplishments.  See photo here: bit.ly/PascoSTARS.
