10 Students Given Citizen Honors by Chamber

The East Pasco Chamber Foundation in partnership with the Greater Zephyrhills
Chamber of Commerce recognized ten students given citizen honors from Academy of Spectrum Diversity, The Broach
School, Chester W. Taylor Elementary, Heritage Academy, Raymond B. Stewart Middle School, The
Broach School, West Zephyrhills Elementary, Woodland Elementary, Zephyrhills Christian Academy, and
Zephyrhills High School.

10 Students Given Citizen Honors by Chamber

The students were honored as the Greater Zephyrhills Student Citizen of the
Month for September. The ceremony took place at Venue Sponsor, Chick-fil-A in Zephyrhills on
September 21 st at 8:00 am.

Students are chosen by the teachers and administration of their individual schools for exemplary effort,
achievement and contribution to their school, family, and community. This is the 25 th year in which the
Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce has recognized students with this program each month during the
academic year.

The students receiving honors were: (Academy of Spectrum Diversity) Adam “AJ” Byro Jr, 7 th grade;
(Chester W. Taylor Elementary School) Nickolas Kluge, 5 th grade; (Heritage Academy) Brantley Raza, 2 nd
grade; (Raymond B. Stewart Middle School) Kimberly Zurita, 8 th grade; (The Broach School) Ethan West,
4 th grade and Rebekah Santiago, 12 th grade; (West Zephyrhills Elementary School) Lilly Saunders, 2 nd
grade; (Woodland Elementary School) Abdiel Ruziga, 2 nd grade; (Zephyrhills Christian Academy) Arya
Thurston, 2 nd grade and (Zephyrhills High School) Alyssa Rojas, 10 th grade.

Chick-fil-A owner and Foundation board member Scott Amole hosted the event providing breakfast for
all the students, their families, and their teacher. He stated “At Chick-fil-A Zephyrhills, we are dedicated
to encouraging students by celebrating their accomplishments. Thank you for the opportunity to partner
in recognizing our Student Citizens of the Month. We look forward to hosting this school year!”
Katy Boyd from AdventHealth Zephyrhills has been involved with the program as the emcee since 2014
said “This is truly my favorite day representing AdventHealth Zephyrhills. Seeing the pride beaming from
the kids and hearing the supportive and loving words from parents and teachers is so uplifting and
inspiring. The community support is evident at this event, and I leave feeling like our community is in
amazing hands.”
