Advanced Cancer Treatment Centers Announces the Construction of Its Brooksville Facility

Advanced Cancer Treatment Centers (ACTC), the oncology division of Access Health Care Physicians, announces that its Brooksville facility is under construction at 15211 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida 34613. The facility is being built at the cost of approximately $7 million and includes equipment at a cost of $3.5 million. Once completed the building will employ a staff of 45 to 50 employees.

The 21,004 square foot ambulatory healthcare facility includes an infusion room with 35 infusion chairs, 12 medical oncology examination rooms, 3 radiation oncology exam rooms, 2 uptake rooms for radiation oncology, and 1 procedure room. In addition, the building will house a treatment vault, in-house full-service laboratory, the latest in radiation oncology treatment systems and the latest diagnostic equipment including CT scan and mobile PET.

ACTC caregivers and staff will offer support services including financial counselors to address the unique psychological and emotional challenges of cancer patients and their families. The center will also feature a dedicated research department for clinical trials.

Cancer care services that will be available will include but are not limited to medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, and a wide range of other services.

Patients will be under the care of the following physicians:

  • Clayton Alonzo, MD, radiation oncology
  • Aaron Denson, MD, hematology oncology
  • D. Alan Kerr, II, MD, PhD, hematology oncology
  • Peter Zavitzanos, MD, radiation oncology

The medical team also includes Amy Morgan, APRN-C, and Elizabeth Morgan, APRN, AOCN.
