The Brooksville Historic Preservation Design Guidelines Project aims to preserve and protect the rich historical heritage of Brooksville by providing comprehensive guidance on historic preservation. The guidelines cover various aspects, including architectural styles and building types, design recommendations, demolition processes, historic registries, ADA compliance, and a glossary of architectural and government terms.

Brooksville Historic Preservation Design Guidelines Meetings to be held June 3, June 4 and June 5, 2024

The document will serve as a valuable resource for property owners, developers, architects, and community members involved in preserving Brooksville's unique character and heritage. This endeavor is made possible through a historic preservation grant awarded to Brooksville Main Street by the Florida Division of Historic Resources.

Brooksville Main Street has retained historic preservation consultant Christine Dalton, AICP, CNU-A, to prepare the historic preservation design guidelines for Brooksville. Ms. Dalton is the founder of Dalton Studio, LLC, a historic preservation and community planning consulting firm, and will be presenting the project to the public at the three meetings referenced above.
