The Southwest Florida Water Management District is a government agency with a mission to protect water resources, minimize flood risks and ensure the public’s water needs. We serve 16 counties in the west central Florida area. This includes protecting the springs in the Nature Coast area. We aim to educate the public about the best practices that we can all follow to help protect our precious water resources.
