Citrus County Administrator Randy Oliver and Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) Ron Kitchen, and Jimmie T. Smith recognized employees for years of service at a recent breakfast held at the Historic Old Courthouse in Inverness on Thursday, October 25, 2018.

The following employees were honored for their service and dedication to Citrus County:

5 Year

Timothy Mullins, Hired on August 13, 2013 as an Aquatic Plant Technician in the Public Works Department, Aquatic Services Division. He is currently a Lead Aquatic Plant Technician.

Jerry Doceti, Hired on August 12, 2013 as a Custodian in the Public Works Department, Facilities Management Division. He is currently a Custodian.

Shawn Ruths, Hired on August 20, 2013 as an Aquatic Plant Technician in the Public Works Department, Aquatic Services Division. He is currently a Lead Aquatic Plant Technician.

Gene Peters Hired on September 9, 2013 as a Survey Technician II in the Public Works Department, Engineering Division. He is currently a Survey Coordinator.

10 Year

Bradley Kohel, Hired on August 4, 2008 as a Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Department, Road Maintenance Division. He is currently a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Lance Fairchild, Hired on September 15, 2008 as a Grounds Maintenance Worker in the Community Services Department, Parks & Recreations Division. He is currently a Medium Equipment Operator in the Public Works Department, Road Maintenance.

15 Year

Regina Eason, Hired on August 4, 2003 as a Recreation Aide in the Department of Community Services, Parks & Recreation Division. She is currently an Administrative Coordinator in the Public Works Department, Engineering Division.

Kathleen Mislan, Hired on September 4, 2003 as a Part-time Kennel Worker in the Public Safety Department, Animal Control Division. She is currently an Animal Services Technician I in the Community Service Department, Animal Services.

Robert Frye, Hired on September 22, 2003 as a Transportation Supervisor in the Community Services Department, Community Support Services Division. He is currently the Transit Services Director.

David Weber Hired on September 29, 2003 as a Land Agent in the Public Works Department, Engineering Division. He is currently a Water Resources Project Manager in the Water Resources Department.

William Gordon, Hired on September 24, 2003 as a Part-time Kennel Worker in the Public Safety Department, Animal Control Division. He is currently a Utility Maintenance Technician in the Water Resources Department, Utility Operations Division.

Christine Weigel, Hired on October 25, 2003 as a Part-time Library Aide in the Community Services Department, Library Service Division. She is currently a Library Aide.

20 Year

John Ruppert, Hired on August 3, 1998 as a Construction Inspector in the Development Services Department, Building Division. He is currently an Inspector III in the Growth Management Department, Building Division.
