Looking for a way to make precious memories with your family? From Tuesday, December 20 – Thursday, December 22, 2022, Citrus County residents can adopt a cat or dog from Citrus County Animal Services (CCAS) and have their new pet delivered to their home by Santa and his elves on Christmas Day!

Citrus County Animal Services Partners with Santa’s Elves for Adoption Event

“This service has been offered since 2015 and, in most cases, the pets are chosen by parents for their children,” said Wanda Moak, President of the Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection (CCFAP). “It is such a special memory for the kids to have Santa and elves come to their door with a new pet as their special gift.”

Adopters can come to the Citrus County Animal Shelter, located at 4030 South Airport Rd in Inverness, to complete a pet adoption during the specified days. An elf will reach out to coordinate the delivery times.

For more information, please contact CCAS at (352) 746-8400 or visit www.citrusbocc.com/findapet.
