implement the policy of the commission and to give residents a hands-on, inside look at what, how and
why the county’s departments do what they do. Elected officials, department directors and other county
staff will host unique and informative sessions designed to give citizens hands-on experience in county
government operations.

The Citrus County Citizens’ Academy Fall 2024 Class will begin Thursday, September 5, 2024. Please
contact Leyda Rivera at (352) 341-6560 for more information.

NOTE: Registration will remain open through August 15, 2024 or until it reaches capacity. If the class
