Citrus County Kicks Off Strategic Planning Process with Community Input Forums
On Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 9:00am – 1:00pm, Citrus County will be hosting the first Community Input Forum at the Citrus Springs Community Center, located at 1570 W Citrus Springs Blvd, Citrus Springs, FL 34434.
An additional Community Input Forum will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 9:00am – 1:00pm at the College of Central Florida’s Citrus Campus, located at 3800 S Lecanto Hwy, Lecanto, FL 34461.
These open public forums will be listening sessions that focus on allowing residents to share their vision for the future of Citrus County. Media partners and elected officials are welcome to attend this event but will be encouraged to act largely as observers.
Citrus County is partnering with the Florida Institute of Government (FIOG) to facilitate this project. The facilitator for these events will be Ms. Mari Rains from the FIOG at the University of Central Florida. After input has been evaluated and the strategic planning process is complete, a formal document and presentation will be delivered by FIOG staff to the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners.
