Citrus County Water Utilities Warns Citizens to be Aware of Water Testing Scams!

County staff will arrive at your home only after the customer has contacted the county to volunteer for the water-testing program. Citrus County staff will identify themselves as county employees and be wearing a photo identification tag at all times.

Stay alert to all suspicious door-to-door salespeople offering to test your water, mailings, phone calls and emails, never give out personal information, and never allow someone without proper identification inside the property. If you have questions please call Citrus County Public Information Officer Cynthia Oswald at 352-527-5484.

If your residence is located in the Charles A. Black, Citrus Springs-Pine Ridge, or Sugarmill Woods County operated Public Water Systems and you would like to participate in the lead and copper testing to please call 352-527-5427.

Just had a stick, with a bag and a container to give a water sample. I did it and then they call me to set up a more extensive inspection. Red flags
