Citrus Extension Announces Water Seminar

Citrus County’s Nature Coast is experiencing water challenges, particularly with water quality. To get the facts on the challenges and what individuals can do, Citrus Extension Services is hosting a day-long seminar focusing on local water resources. Experts will share Florida’s water story from sources, pollution and its sources to discussions about what citizens can do to help protect this vital natural resource.

Topics include who is using our water, water quality and quantity issues, potential alternative sources, coastal resiliency, and Florida Friendly options. Call with questions at 352-527-5700, ask for Betsy or BJ.

The Citrus County Cooperative Extension Service connects the public with the University of Florida/IFAS’s knowledge, research, and resources to address the needs of youths, families, the community, and agriculture.  Programs and activities offered by the Extension Service are available to all persons without regard to race, color, handicap, sex, religion, or national origin.
