City of Brooksville Outgoing Council Members Honored

On November 21, 2022, the Brooksville City Council honored outgoing City Council Members: Mayor Pat Brayton, Councilman Robert Battista, and Councilwoman Betty Erhard, for their many years of service.

Brayton served from December 3, 2018 through December 5, 2022, contributing four years of service to the Brooksville Community; serving as Mayor in 2021 and 2022.  His public service career began in 1994 where he served six years as a City Council Member until 2000. He then ran successfully in 2018, serving his current tenure.  Brayton was also an employee of the City beginning in 1972 as the Assistant Finance Director and worked his way to City Clerk/Finance Director until 1980.

Battista began his career as a City Council Member in December 2014 and continued his service to the community for two terms culminating in December 2022.  He also served as Mayor in 2017.  Prior to this, Battista served as City Attorney from 1995 to 2002 and again from 2011 to 2012 when he was assigned as City Attorney as an Associate with the Hogan Law Firm.  

Erhard’s career coincided with Battista, serving as Councilwoman from December 2014 until December 2022, serving two terms to the Brooksville community. Erhard also served as Mayor in 2018.

Vice-Mayor Blake Bell presented each member with a separate Resolution to recognize their individual devotion and efforts to make policies and decisions for the betterment of the community.
