Coping with Dementia offers new learning opportunity

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on March 5, 2019

Among the free services Coping with Dementia offers are speaking on Alzheimer’s Awareness and our ABC of Dementia workshop for family caregivers. Speaking engagements can run from 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the needs of the hosting organization.

The ABC workshop is very popular; for the last two years we have conducted it three times a month. It is intensive and takes two hours. In order to convey the information this workshop contains, we ask attendees to hold all questions until the end. We know that this is sometimes hard for them to do.

Consequently, in March we will test a new format entitled “Q&A for Alzheimer’s and Dementia.”

This presentation will be one to two hours, depending on the amount of participation by its attendees. We will present a 15-minute introduction about dementia, then open the floor to questions.

We’ll debut this new format on March 19 at Gulf to Lake Church, 1454 N. Gulf to Lake Highway in Crystal River. This free event, including a lunch, will run from noon to 2:30 p.m.

The public is invited but reservations are requested for planning purposes. To reserve a seat call 352-795-8077.
