Coping with Dementia offers online Alzheimers/Dementia Caregiver Support

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on July 14, 2020

Even though Coping with Dementia has canceled its public engagements for the foreseeable future, this does not mean their team is not still here to help.

Coping with Dementia is conducting our Care Partner Networking Support Groups on line, using ZOOM.  This is a way of getting and providing support, connecting with others around the country, and attending them from your home at a time that works for you.

We will continue to host these networking groups weekly.  They have been a great way to take down the geographical barriers.  No matter where you live, you can connect and get support in the journey of being a care partner for a person living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

So come and join us every Tuesday at 1:00 pm, every Wednesday at 7:30 pm (Co-hosted by Linda Burhans from Connecting Caregivers) and every Thursday at 1:00 pm.

Coping with Dementia offers free online Alzheimers and Dementia Caregiver Support

And all of their new online support groups for totally free of charge. Call 352-422-3663 for help.

Other Ways Coping with Dementia can Help

In addition to being Certified Dementia Practitioners, Ed Youngblood and Debbie Selsavage are both Certified Consultants in Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care.

They are a phone call away to try to help you navigate the challenges care partners face for a loved one living with dementia. They can provide information not just about dementia and the techniques of Person-centered Compassionate Care, but also about resources available to you in west-central Florida.

The initial assessment to determine how Coping with Dementia might be able to help is free of charge for twenty (20) minutes. Thereafter, the fee for scheduled consulting sessions is $50 per hour.
