Academia Hernando is a not-for-profit lifelong learning organization providing quality learning experiences for adults throughout Hernando County and beyond.
Its goal is to inspire adult learners through a series of weekly lectures on a wide variety of topics.
Academia Hernando will offer another exciting lecture series this fall from 10 a.m. to noon on Fridays, September 16 – November 4 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2301 Deltona Blvd., Spring Hill.
The first lecture on September 16, 2022 will be “How George Washington Started the Seven Years War” presented by Robert Jacob who will come in period costume and share his knowledge of George Washington.

• September 23 – “Jackie Robinson: No. 42, A Reluctant Pioneer” by Rick Kistner
• September 30 – “Women of the Third Reich” by Anette Isaacs
• October 7 – “Edible Florida & Basic Survival Skills” by Don Philpott

• October 21 – “A Musical Tour Around the World” by Joy Katzen-Guthrie
• October 28 – “Agatha Christie, Queen of Murder Mysteries” by nan Colton
• November 4 – “Storytellers of Old Tampa” by Ross Tarr & Wanda Stuart
• November 11 – “Mystery Bus Excursion” (for subscribers only)
The Series Subscription is $80 and includes eight lectures and a “Mystery Bus Excursion”. Tickets to individual lectures are $15.
