Brooksville Main Street brings the magic of Christmas to its downtown with events throughout December that are designed to provide family fun without cost.
Each Friday evening, enjoy live performances at the historic courthouse, from 6-7 pm.
December 14, 15, 21, and 22, sign up for your magical Christmas Carriage Ride, leaving from the courthouse and taking visitors down historic streets. Some carriage rides include a period costumed docent explaining the history of the homes along the tour. Others do not. Sign up here. The carriage rides are not free and require reservations.
A holiday stroll is planned for South Brooksville Avenue, with historic homeowners adding special decorations and activities. Join us at the watertower for a fun-filled block party in historic downtown Brooksville. Enjoy artisan vendors and stroll the Augusta brick road on South Brooksville Avenue to see the historic homes in all their holiday glory.
Keys to Christmas is a scavenger hunt of sorts, where clues are provided on Brooksville Main Street’s social media pages each day from December 16-23, and then visitors can go downtown to find the “key” to win $25 gift cards from local merchants.
December 20 is the Family Christmas Festival in Hernando Park, with a Sensory Sensitive Santa event from noon to 2pm and from 2-5pm not so sensitive Santa visits. Additionally, there are pony rides and petting zoo, children’s activities and more.
