chasco fiesta 2023

Nine days of food, fun, and entertainment with many events including a Street Parade, Boat Parade, Car Show, 5K run, Carnival, and a different genre of music every night! Come celebrate 101 years of the Chasco Fiesta.

The Theme for 2023 is ” Celebrating Champions of Tampa Bay.”

Chasco Fiesta 2023 Schedule

Bring your friends and family, visit the vendors, enjoy the Native American culture and celebrate 101 years of Chasco Fiesta!

Chasco Fiesta is a 501(C)3 organization that benefits about 20 not-for-profit organizations in the New Port Richey community and surrounding areas.   The Chasco Fiesta offers 9 full days of activities and 9 nights of music appreciation. The Chasco Fiesta offers Country, Christian, Blues, Bluegrass, Oldies, and Rock and Roll Tribute concerts at Sims Park.

Activities also include a premier street parade (3rd largest in Florida) and the second longest running boat parade.  There is a children’s village, car & truck show, bowling tournament, golf tournament, 5k run, Hunger Walk, Coronation Ball, and, of course, a carnival presented by Prime Time Carnivals with rides for older and younger kids.  The carnival is always a highlight of the Chasco Fiesta and is located outside of the park at 6128 US-19 next to Keiser University.  Click for Trolly Schedule.

With all that activity going on making you hungry, you’ll find food in plentiful quantities and unlimited varieties offered by both for-profit and non-profit vendors.

Held on the banks of the Pithlachascotee (Cotee) River in New Port Richey, the festival also allows visitors to witness a traditional Native American Powwow.  Native American people from as far away as New Mexico, Oklahoma, Peru, and Ecuador participate in educational activities and dance performances to showcase their culture and history.

The Street Parade proceeds through the streets of Downtown New Port Richey and kicks off Chasco Fiesta™. Held on first Saturday of Chasco, the parade is followed by a Classic Rock Concert in Sims Park.

The following Saturday, along the banks of the Cotee River, we end Chasco Fiesta with a Boat Parade and the Ruth Eckerd on the Road presents Starship with Mickey Thomas with special guest, John Waite.

Music Appreciation concerts are held nightly in Sims Park featuring various types of music.  There are two paid, ticketed events featuring nationally recognized artists on Country and Classic Rock Night.  Our concerts include Christian, Blues, Bluegrass, Oldies, and Rock and Roll Tribute nights.

Country and Rock Concerts by The Ruth Eckerd Hall Experience

The Ruth Eckerd Hall Experience presents two final concerts in Sims Park with name artists.

The first will be held on Friday, March 31 with a double headliner featuring David Nail and Drake Milligan, two of Country music’s finest performers. Ticket prices range from $10-60 and can be found here David Nail & Drake Milligan | The Ruth Eckerd Hall Experience

On Saturday, April 1, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas with Special Guest John Waite will perform in Sims Park. Ticket prices range from $20-79 and are available here Starship at Chasco Fiesta | The Ruth Eckerd Hall Experience.
