Chinsegut Hill Nature Walks

Embark on a nature walk through the grounds and trails of Chinsegut Hill Historic Site with Jim Davis, Director of the University of Florida’s IFAS Multi-County Extension, from 10 a.m. to noon on Jan. 18, Feb. 15, or March 22.
The 2-hour hike covers the uneven and hilly ground around Chinsegut Hill. This activity requires closed-toe shoes appropriate for outdoor activities and enough water for each person in your party. Sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended year-round. While Hernando County maintains accessible trails, this activity might be too strenuous for someone who has difficulty using stairs.
Free, though advance registration is required by emailing Jim Davis at dvisshdn@ufl.edu. Tours of the historic house are available for $5 per person, at 12:30 p.m., after each nature walk. Click here to purchase house tour tickets.
