The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum presents a free kids’ event: “Toy Swap.” For ages 7 and up. Limited spaces. Please preregister by calling our office between Tuesday and Saturday at (352) 341-6428.
We’ll play games, draw numbers to choose toys from under the tree, and kids will have multiple chances to trade again if desired and to win brand, new toys as prizes.
We’ll also provide lessons for kids about charitable giving, trading, and reusing things.
Directions:
- You’ll want to lysol, wrap, and bring 3 GENTLY USED toys your child no longer plays with that another child could enjoy.
- Please be sure the toy is in good enough condition that another child would like it (If bringing multiple children, please be sure to bring 3 per child).
- Place a pink tag on items a girl would enjoy, a blue tag for a boy, and a yellow tag if any child could enjoy the toy.
- Toys and games only, please.
- And be sure to leave time during your visit to enjoy our “Toys through the Decades” exhibit, all about the history of popular toys from the year 1900 on.
