The Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind is pleased to announce the details for it’s 7th Annual Dining in the Dark!
We are so excited about this event as it’s our first in-person Dining in the Dark since the pandemic began and our first ever interactive dining experience.
At the 7th Annual Dining in the Dark, guests enjoy an interactive reception where they visit hands-on stations and step into the shoes of a Lighthouse client. At the stations, guests will be blindfolded and taught basic independence skills, like using a white cane, deciphering food on a plate, navigating a cell phone, and completing a special craft provided by the Lighthouse teens.
There is also a delicious buffet, silent auction, a chance raffle, dancing and more!
Dress is business casual.
Sponsorships are available between $250 and $5,000.
Individual tickets are $75 each. Visit https://www.lvib.org/events/dining-in-the-dark/ to learn about the buffet and more about the event.
Proceeds from Dining in the Dark are used to ensure programs and services for people who are visually impaired and blind living in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus Counties are provided at no cost to the client or their families. Since 1983, Lighthouse has worked to educate, empower, and employ people who are visually impaired and blind.
