The Currys are a family folk-rock outfit featuring brothers Jimmy and Tommy Curry and cousin Galen Curry. Active since 2013, the band has performed in various lineups as a folk harmony trio and a five-piece folk-rock outfit. Their early work (“Follow” in 2014 and “West of Here” in 2016) features the voices of three distinct songwriters weaving harmony-driven Americana. The band’s third studio release, “This Side of the Glass,” meditates on personal and social relationships and explores the dual nature of performing artists as both the authors of stories and the objects of storytelling. The album features a grittier, more mature sound that leans heavily on The Currys’ three-part vocal arrangements even while it strays beyond the borders of the folk & singer-songwriter tradition.
