Monthly Meeting and Public Program of the Hernando Chapter, FNPS: Top Five Native Trees to Plant in Hernando County
by Jessica Clark, Hernando/Pasco County Forester, Florida Forest Service
The Top Five Native Trees to Plant in Hernando County were selected due to a variety of characteristics, such as wood quality, longevity, disease resistance, and aesthetics. We will discuss the growing conditions for these trees such as soil type, growing space, and water needs.
