Withlacoochee Forest Native Plant Walk

March 25 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Take a hike and explore the beautiful Withlacoochee State Forest with our local Native Plant Experts! Join us on Saturday, March 25th from 8:30am-12pm for a guided interpretive walk along the A-Loop of the Florida Trail.

Discover native plants and birds as we hike approximately 1.3 miles in and then turn around and hike back. This will be a moderately paced hike, so be sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes, a hat, and bring bug repellent and plenty of water.

We’ll be meeting at the trail crossing at Haven Street, which is about 1.6 miles west of Pleasant Grove Rd. There is no official parking area at the trailhead, so please park alongside the paved road. Trip leaders will be at the trailhead early with signs to help participants see where to park.

Please note that pets are not allowed on this hike. If you have any questions or would like to RSVP, please email Marcie at citrusnps@gmail.com

Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts!
