UF/IFAS Citrus County Extension recently participated in the statewide 2023 Peanut Butter Challenge to collect jars of peanut butter for local families in need.

Extension Donates Peanut Butter to Community Food Bank

When the challenge ended on October 31, 394 jars totaling more than 536 pounds of peanut butter were
donated to the Community Food Bank to help citizens in need.

We want to thank all those involved in helping the community, including the Rotary Club of Inverness, Red Level 4-H Club and the East Citrus Community Center. Without strong community support, we would
not have had such amazing success!
