Fire Fighter Academy Class 2019-45 graduated from the Citrus County Fire Rescue Fire Academy on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Citrus Springs Community Center. Once graduated the firefighters have acquired the credentials to work anywhere in the state of Florida.

Ten new firefighters crossed the stage after a rigorous six months of training and preparation to begin their career as professional firefighters. There was standing room only at the graduation ceremony as friends and family attended to show their support and encouragement.

Speakers for the event were, Captain and Lead Instructor Michael Burkhart; Fire Chief Craig Stevens and Class Speaker Christopher Pericht. Special awards presented to Christopher Pericht for High Academic, Matthew Henriquez for Most Improved and Amanda Richmond for Standout Cadet.

The ceremony included a helmet presentation and the awarding of certificates. Congratulations to the Firefighter Academy Class 2019-45 Graduates!
