The Homosassa Civic Club is very excited to announce a new seminar in their Adult Learning Series.

Captain William Toney will be presenting Fishing Homosassa 101 at the Old Homosassa Learning Center at 10950 W. Yulee Drive in Old Homosassa–right across the street from the Homosassa Elementary School–on Thursday, May 18th at 7 pm.

This is a FREE event that is open to the public and sponsored by the Homosassa Civic Club.

Captain Toney will be speaking about

  • The river system
  • Tides and their effect on fishing
  • Major and minor feeding periods
  • Fishing tackle
  • Where to fish and why
  • Type of boat suited for the area
  • Baits both live and artificial.

Captain Toney will also take questions from the audience in his informative seminar

Captain Toney is a 4th generation native Homosassa fishing guide and a member and past president of the Homosassa Guides Association. Captain Toney has a radio report on CBS Sports Radio 104.3 FM each Thursday at 9:30 am, gives a local report to the Citrus County Chronicle each week, plus posts right here at NatureCoaster.com!

His specialty is inshore and near shore fishing and targets all the species of game fish in our local waters.
