The Floral City Heritage Council will present an event celebrating the 140^th anniversary of the layout and survey of Floral City featuring a parade on March 25, 2023.  All residents living within the 34436 zipcode are invited to participate in the parade, with their float and/or dress depicting Floral City residents throughout the decades from 1883-2023.

Everybody else, within the 34436 zipcode or outside of it, is invited to come watch the parade!

The parade is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to noon. Afterwards participants and visitors are invited to gather in the town center for food, folk life demonstrators and music. The Floral City Heritage Museum will be open, as will the historic Duval House.

Parade Participants Sought for Floral City Spring into History Event March 25

Perspective parade participants, that is, anyone living within the 34436 zipcode (exceptions are those joining someone who lives within the zip code) are asked to fill out an application to be reviewed by the parade committee. Floral City Heritage Council is coordinating the parade, but the Floral City community will be sponsoring it by contributing a $20 registration fee to enter the parade which will help defer costs (i.e. sheriff deputies, Port-A-Lets, signage, flyers and more).

The first 20 to be registered will receive a pewter 140th Anniversary Commemorative Medallion.
