Florida Department of Health Relocating Clinical Services in Citrus County

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on October 5, 2017

Florida Department of Health in Citrus County will be relocating its clinical services from Inverness to Lecanto beginning on October 6, 2017.

In an effort to provide more efficient clinical services for clients in Citrus County, the Florida Department of Health will be relocating many of its programs from its Inverness Clinic to its main offices in Lecanto, Florida- effective Friday, October 6.

This change will not affect the quality or type of services offered; only the location where the clients can be served. With the exception of the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, the following services will only be available at the Lecanto Clinic:

  • Immunizations
  • STD/STI
  • HIV and AIDS Drug Assistance Program
  • Communicable Disease & Tuberculosis Surveillance
  • Family Planning and Contraception Services
  • Pregnancy Care
  • Healthy Start
  • Environmental Public Health
  • Public Health Preparedness
  • Community Outreach
  • Birth & Death Certificates

Clients of the Department’s WIC Program, and other nutrition education services, can still receive care at both locations: Inverness and Lecanto.

Additionally, clients of these services should see improvements as other clinical services are relocated to Lecanto. The Florida Department of Health in Citrus County apologizes for any inconvenience this move may cause.

For questions and/or comments regarding services affected, please contact our main information line at: (352) 527-0068, Option 0.
