Join us at Fort Cooper State Park for Fort Cooper Fun Day in honor of Earth Day!

Fort Cooper Fun Day

9:00am – 12:00pm

Activities will include a Nature Hike, Geo-caching, Photo Scavenger Hunt, Hands-on Touch Table, Junior Ranger Booth and Fort Perimeter Estimate Guessing Game. Activities will start at 9:00am at the Pavilion.

Join us for a fun, enjoyable & informative hike for the whole family in our peaceful State Park. The hike will start at the Pavilion at 9:00am and will be led by a Park Ranger. We will walk the Dogwood Trail, approximately a 1 mile hike, looking at the different plants, animals and insects that we may see. For your safety, it is recommended that you wear close-toed shoes.

Geo Caching will begin at the Rec Hall at 10:00am. You will watch a short tutorial and then a Park Ranger will lead you out into the park to help you find a Geo-cache.
Photo Scavenger Hunt, Junior Ranger, Touch Table and the Fort Perimeter Guessing Game
will be available at the pavilion from 9:00am until 12:00pm.
Refreshments will be available for purchase.
There is a $3 per car state park entrance fee, payable at the honor box (no change given).
Suggested items to bring are water, insect repellent, camera and binoculars. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. This event is subject to cancellation due to weather.
