The following Hernando County Government offices/services will be closed on Friday, November 10, 2023 in observance of Veterans Day.

Hernando County offices closed in observance of Veterans Day

• All Hernando County Government offices
• Library Services
• Animal Services

The East Hernando and Spring Hill Branches for Library Services, and Animal Services will resume services on Saturday, November 11, 2023. For all other offices/services, normal business hours will resume on Monday, November 13, 2023.

Hernando County Solid Waste Facilities:

All Hernando County Solid Waste and Recycling Facilities will remain open on Friday, November 10, 2023 for drop-off:

• Main Landfill: 14450 Landfill Road in Brooksville
• East Hernando Convenience Center – 33070 Cortez Boulevard in Ridge Manor
• West Hernando Convenience Center – 2525 Osowaw Boulevard in Spring Hill.

Republic Services and Hernando County Transit (TheBus) will be providing services as normal on Friday, November 10, 2023.

In honor of Veterans Day, TheBus will be providing free rides to Veterans with proof of veteran status on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
