Inverness Airport Runway will be closed nightly

A joint project between Citrus County’s Engineering Division, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are starting the Inverness Airport Taxiways and Aprons Rehab Project. 

Inverness Airport Runway will be closed nightly starting Sunday, August 22, 2021

This project involves relocating Taxiway A-1 Connector, milling and repaving Taxiways B and C as well as several aprons on the North end of the airfield.

The airport runway will start closing at night starting on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 7:00pm and will  reopen at 7:00am for approximately 30 days.  The entire project is scheduled to be completed within 100 days.
