Citrus Sertoman Mark Avery has been named Tournament Chair for the November 20, 2022 “Golf 4
Kids” Tournament at Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club, the Oaks Course.

Mark Avery Named Citrus Sertoma 2022 Golf 4 Kids Tournament Chair

Mark has been with Citrus Sertoma for the past nineteen years and during his tenure has served as club
president for five terms, sergeant at arms for five terms, chairman of the board for three terms and
received his Tenure Award in 2013.

Mark is a great supporter of Sertoma and believes in the work of the local club. He also co-led, with
Maureen Tambasco, the merger of the Inverness Club and the Citrus Club in 2021. Mark likes helping
people in his community and on a personal note Mark said, “Sertoma helped my grandmother get
hearing aids years ago and I have never forgotten that.”

Mark moved here from New Hampshire thirty-six years ago and started his business twenty-one years
ago which is AMAZING Repair Service LLC. He has been married to Grace Avery for eighteen years and
they have built the business together and also opened a store called Gracie’s Goodies a thrift and gift
store on SR44 in Inverness.

Giving to your local Sertoma means all the donations go directly to programming for our community. We
are local, and the money you give stays local. We thank you for your support.

Citrus Sertoma supports many local and regional efforts that enhance our community including, Baseball
Camp at the Villages; Sertoma Youth Ranch which provides youth groups from all over Florida the
opportunity to enjoy the outdoors at no charge, including physically and mentally challenged children,
and the Sertoma Foundation mobile audiology van out of New Port Richey which provides pediatric
hearing screenings and evaluations along with fitting and dispensing hearing aids. The foundation’s
focus is rural and under-served communities. The Foundation has screened over 28,000 children and
200 plus adults in the greater Tampa region, which includes Citrus County.

And of course, the Club gives back right here in Citrus County supporting the Inverness Boy Scouts, our
Citrus County School District by adopting classrooms each year and the Marine Science Station Coastal
Camp Citrus Scholarship, providing funding for the Family Resource Center, C.H.I.P.S., and F.F.R.A.
