Looking for date night plans on Saturday, May 28, 2022? Look no further than the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum, where you and your partner can create a “Masterpiece at the Museum.”

Masterpiece at the Museum: A Date Night Event

Grab some wine and follow the guided painting activity step-by-step with help from an instructor and projector screen. Participants will create a hot air balloon design during this date night event; local history of hot air balloons will also be presented by museum staff.

Tickets for “Masterpiece at the Museum” are now available for $50 per couple and include after-hours access to museum exhibits from 6:30pm – 7:30pm, appetizers, and open-table seating. A cash bar will be open during the event with $4 glasses of wine available for purchase. All proceeds go to support museum fundraising efforts. Doors open at 6:30pm, with the two-hour painting activity beginning at 7:30pm.

The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum is a historical and architectural gem at the heart of Downtown Inverness. The proud structure has stood for over 100 years, and although the business of the court is no longer transacted here, it is still an important pillar to the community. It is an entertainment venue, a community space, and most especially, a place of learning. The fully restored 2nd floor courtroom recalls the majesty of turn-of-the-century architecture and design and provides an intimate and unforgettable setting for fun company, and good times.

The Inverness Cultural Heritage Council, a d.b.a. of the Citrus County Historical Society, Inc. (a non-profit organization), always accepts and appreciates donations, which go toward the cause of retaining history and hosting museum events.
