Museum Hosts Pirate Party for Citrus County Historical Society Members
CCHS members will be welcomed to a swashbuckling social hour with an opportunity to take photos
with Shiver Me Pictures, a company with a pirate themed photo booth. Board members will share wee
historical tidbits on local pirate history. Guests will join in on short games like “Pop the Cannon Ball”
and “Pin the Parrot on the Pirate.”
The event will include wine and hors d’oeuvres. Costumes are encouraged, though not required.
Since 1985, CCHS headquarters has been in the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum at 1 Courthouse
Square in Inverness, Florida. Members sustain and enrich the museum through solid and enduring
generosity. CCHS support allows museum staff and volunteers to gather many stories to tell and expand
ways to tell them.
Members receive email notices of monthly events, discounts on programs and events, and the satisfaction of knowing they are supporting Citrus County’s primary museum of general history.
To RSVP, or for membership information, please call the museum at (352) 341-6428, or register online
at www.cccourthouse.org/events.
