9 Principles of Florida-Friendly Landscaping™

The Citrus County Utilities Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ program is offering a free online gardening workshop on May 19, 2020 from 2:00-3:30 pm. 

Watch and ask questions from the comfort and safety of your home. The University of Florida developed the 9 basic principles to establish a set of gardening practices that aid gardeners in creating a successful and sustainable landscape. 

Following these practices allows gardeners to create beautiful landscapes that generate little to no impact on our water resources and the environment. 

Selecting the right plant for the right location, efficient irrigation, proper fertilization, and responsible pest management are several of the topics discussed during this workshop.
