Parks & Recreation Offers Second Seasonal Fishing Workshop for Women

The 2023 summer workshop garnered a lot of attention among women who were interested in learning
not only how to fish but also about fish biology, as well as freshwater and saltwater habitats and fishing
accessories.
According to Recreation Program Specialist Alice Mary Herden, “Holding this workshop in January
allows our seasonal residents to participate. It’s heartening to know that many women are interested in
learning more than just how to cast a line.”
Ladies interested in joining the Women’s Winter Fishing Workshop must register and pay an activity fee
of $25. The workshop is limited to 30 participants. To learn more about the workshop, please call 352-
232-6092 or email Alice.Herden@Citrusbocc.com.
