Pasco County employees and their families will serve a Thanksgiving meal to less fortunate Pasco County families on Friday, November 25, 2016.  Families are invited to enjoy the holiday meal at the Knights of Columbus Hall, located at 5850 K of C Drive in Port Richey between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Metropolitan Ministries of Holiday is preparing the meal that will include turkey, potatoes, gravy, a vegetable and a roll.  Beverages and dessert will be provided by The Volunteer Way.

Following the meal, donated clothing, food, toiletries, towels and blankets will be distributed to the guests.  Donations can be dropped off prior to the event at the West Pasco Government Center, 8731 Citizens Drive, New Port Richey or at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

“We plan to serve about 250 hot meals and distribute more than 2,000 personal items,” said Event Coordinator Cliff Gill.  “Thanksgiving should be a time of year when the spirit of giving is shared by everyone.”

About 50 Pasco County employees are expected to volunteer at this year’s Thanksgiving Dinner.  This is the fourth consecutive year Pasco County employees have been involved in this event.
