Pasco County Public Transportation Hiring Bus Drivers

Pasco County Public Transportation (PCPT) is now accepting applications for experienced bus drivers.  As part of the PCPT team, you will play an essential role in providing transit and paratransit service to Pasco County customers, including the elderly, social service program participants and individuals with disabilities.

Eligible applicants must possess:

A valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class “B” with Air Brakes, and “P” endorsement.

Skills and experience in the operation of large transit coaches.

Customer service experience; ability to serve and interact with the public.

Ability to read a map, locate addresses, plan efficient routes, and maintain assigned schedules.

Ability to climb, bend, stoop, walk, and squat.

All applicants must undergo a Florida Department of Transportation medical examination and pass a drug test prior to employment.  Medical examinations are required every two years.  Future drug tests and alcohol breath tests must comply with the Pasco County Public Transportation Substance Abuse Policy.
