Pet of the Week – Desrosier and Hester

Looking for a fun, yet gentle, companion? Desrosier (ID: A000043) is a friendly, sweet guy with a happy, playful spirit. He is about 5 years old and 60 pounds. He is fabulous with children of all ages and dogs of all sizes. He even participates in playgroups, enjoying a game of chase with his canine friends. He has been around ducks and ignored them. He walks well on a leash and takes treats gently. Desrosier did test positive for heartworms, but his treatment will be sponsored upon adoption. He could also use a dental. Hester (ID: A000881) is the cutest little guy! This happy, sweet pup’s tail is always wagging. He is friendly with people and loves hugs. He also gets along well with other dogs, participating in playgroups at the shelter. Hester is only about 1 year old. He’s the perfect medium size at just under 35 pounds, though he could stand to gain a few. He walks well on a leash; knows the sit, stay and come commands; and takes treats gently. He loves toys! However, he doesn’t like to share his things. With enough exercise and mental stimulation, Hester would be a great companion.

Pasco County Animal Services Adoption Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to provide form of photo identification
- Must be willing to provide a loving home for a shelter pet
