Pet of the Week – Hercules and Romeo

Hercules (ID: A005815) is as sweet as he is handsome! He is about 6 years old and 65 pounds. He has a quiet demeanor and is friendly, though he prefers to sniff and explore than to snuggle. He’s the same with other dogs, choosing to just hang out and relax rather than play. He has been known to chase cats, so a slow introduction is recommended if you have kitties at home. Hercules walks well on a leash and knows the sit and down commands. If you’re looking for a low-key companion, make an appointment with Pasco County Animal Services today to meet him.

Wherefore art thou, Romeo (ID: A005768)? This loverboy knows “sit,” is very attentive, and would likely be quick to learn more commands. He also takes treats gently. He sometimes pulls on a leash, but generally walks well. Romeo takes a little while to warm up to new people, but is friendly and sweet once he does. He is playful and likes to run. He’s always alert, keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings. Romeo has not yet made any doggy friends at the shelter. He is about 3 years old and 60 pounds. Make an appointment with Pasco County Animal Services today to meet him— and if you have other pups at home, bring them along!
