Pet of the Week – Mai Tai and Whisper

By Meaghan Goepferich Posted on April 25, 2023

Mai Tai (ID: A006130) is a friendly girl who gives kisses and loves belly rubs. She knows the sit and shake commands, and she takes treats gently. She wants to run, but generally walks well on a leash. She is learning not to jump, though she gets excited when there are snacks involved! Mai Tai is learning to make friends with other dogs and does best with those that are calm and gentle. She is about 7 years old and 75 pounds; a healthy diet and regular exercise will help to get her into tip-top shape. If you’d like to add this sweet senior to your household, make an appointment with Pasco County Animal Services today!

Whisper (ID: A006623) is a gentle soul trying hard to find her place in the world. This 3-year-old is about 55 pounds. She has made great strides and will even give kisses. She walks beautifully on a leash; knows the sit, stay and come commands; and takes treats softly. She can be a little timid with new people, but she “smiles” when she greets her friends. It’s too cute! Whisper enjoys playing with toys and exploring in the yard. She may do best as only pet because other dogs can make her nervous. If you’d like to meet Whisper, make an appointment with Pasco County Animal Services today!
