As Tropical Storm Idalia approaches, LifeSouth is asking blood donors to help an already strained local and national blood supply by donating before the storm hits.  

Blood donors are needed now to maintain our community’s blood supply and help local hospitals prepare. LifeSouth is the sole provider of blood to HCA Oak Hill, Bravera Health Brooksville and Spring Hill, and Moffitt Cancer Center. Blood donated with LifeSouth directly helps patients at these hospitals.  

LifeSouth’s donor centers are located at 12395 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville and 4377 Commercial Way, Spring Hill. Our Brooksville location is open Monday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Tuesday 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. Our Spring Hill location is open Tuesday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Weather depending. All blood donors receive a $20 e-gift card and platelet and double red cell donors receive an additional $20 e-gift card. All donors also receive a mini-physical, including blood pressure, temperature, iron level and cholesterol screen.
